Progressive Trance Network

The following is a paid review:

Progressive Trance NetworkDoes the repetitive thump of dance music and twinkling electronic sound effects make your heart beat faster? Do you like to fly down the freeway bobbing your head up and down to the latest club hits?

Then the Progressive Trance Network (PTN) is a site you’re going to want to explore. It shouldn’t take you long, as the site seems to be relatively new. PTN features artist and dj bios and a directory of trance-oriented record labels.

From their page:

The progressive trance music network is a resource website for artists, DJ’s, record labels, promoters and people who simply love the music and the scene.

We feature a host of DJ profiles, a trance music shop, links to free MP3 downloads, a music website directory as well as a news section from the blogsphere.

The site provides lots of links for you to find new artists and purchase the latest and greatest out of the world of “progressive trance.”

What exactly is “progressive trance” you might ask? PTN is here to explain it:

Progressive trance music originates from the combination of psychedelic trance and progressive house and has a distinctive sound softer than normal trance and harder than normal house music.

If you can deal with the somewhat hard to read small gray font on a dark gray striped background, and can overlook the fact that there aren’t any audio samples included on pages to give you a good sense of what exactly “progressive trance” music is, you may find some new music to show off to your club kid friends!
