I’ve been a professional musician since I was 15, and spent a couple of years as a professional radio disc jockey. The only information my brain has ever been able to retain is music… the artists, the songs, the albums. I’m a complete pop music junkie. My parents raised me on 60’s and 70’s pop music. I cut my teeth on 80’s top 40, and hair bands. I am a fan of almost every genre and can usually find something redeeming about any artist. I had a country music record contract (sort of) in the 90’s, and have helped develop several artists in the bay area as a producer and mix engineer. I’m not a professional musician, though during my schooling years I spent time on the viola and the piano and in an all girls choir. I’m not a professional music reviewer either. I just like music, and I listen to alot of it. I like music featuring minor chords, cello, and love trip hop. My favorite bands of all time are Portishead and Candlebox. I also had a long time love affair with the song Glory of Love by Peter Cetera.
Howard
Howard is a professional administrative assistant, professional video clerk, professional writer and a professional improvisational comedian. By professional, he means he currently gets paid to do those things in Denver where he currently lives. He has been a music fan all his life thanks to his parents playing music far more than the television and encouraged him to do things like perform The Archies’ “Sugar, Sugar” with a jukebox in front of bus depot strangers. No, he was only four. With major influences such as (in chronological order) Captain & Tennille, Blondie, Eurythmics, Sam Phillips and Aimee Mann, Howard realized at this exact moment that he does a lot of listening to strong women who happen to be vocalists; however, his friends think his music tastes are eclectic at best; can’t-get-this-song-out-of-head at worst. “Damn you, Howard!” is something he hears quite often.

A child of the seventies, a member of the X Generation, and musician over the last four decades, I have strong emphasis on rock/pop/modern rock of the 70’s & 80’s, but I really am that person who likes ALL types of music (that is except for bad music). To best explain the cross section, I have been known to pick up an accordion in a music store and play along with the Iron Maiden song blaring out over the store’s sound system.
